About Me
I'm a UX Designer with a multidisciplinary background in teaching and graphic design.
The skills I developed as an English and Studio Art teacher have become invaluable to my UX practice. Crafting an engaging lesson takes planning, assessment, and a deep understanding of student needs - a multifaceted and empathetic approach that mirrors the design thinking process. My ability to present new and complex ideas to diverse audiences, lead discussions, and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders has naturally been enhanced by my teaching experiences over the last decade.
Alongside teaching, my passion for art and visual design has led me to tackle numerous freelance projects. I have designed marketing collateral and provided art direction for a range of businesses, primarily in the arts and hospitality sectors. My fascination with design and digital technology has deepened over the years, and this ultimately inspired me to make the leap into a new career in UX Design.
When I’m not designing digital products, I love to be in nature. You might find me surfing somewhere along the Great Ocean Road, or hiking with my family in the Victorian Alps. I consider myself a deeply curious person, a lifelong learner who is constantly trying something new. My current obsessions include woodworking, Muay Thai and Javascript.
